As part of a collaborative process, I invited my mom—a painter—to reinterpret elements from the embroidered tablecloth that inspired this collection. She focused on the pomegranate motif, translating it into a series of ink paintings. I selected my favorite and digitally inverted her brushwork, transforming the black ink into white. Rather than layering the pomegranate over a stripe, I worked with my factory to create a custom digital stripe that allowed the fruit to live within the lines—making the motif feel fluid, quiet, and woven into the fabric itself. Finished with hook-and-eye closures.
